In 2011 I was approached to build nine cedar timber frame lodges for the Wya Point Resort in Ucluelet BC.
It was an amazing project that we built from local sustainably harvested western red cedar.
My mill supplied more than 150,000 board feet of wood for the project.
Many of the crew were local first nations craftsmen, building on the ancestral beaches of the Ucluelet First Nations land.
The resort continues to win awards and in 2014 graced the front page of the Official BC Accommodation guide.
