We decided to build a bigger porch on our farmhouse and thought cedar would look nice. Fred hired Dana to mill some cedar logs we had and to design and build the new porch.

We are so glad we did!

Dana is very precise and careful as he prepares and designs the project. Each piece is carefully chosen to show the colour and grain of the wood to it’s fullest and then cut and fit with mortise and tenon joinery. Our new porch is a thing of beauty and everyone loves it!

We would highly recommend Dana for milling and quality craftsmanship.

It is with great pleasure that I wrote this letter of reference for Mr. Dana Baetz of Errington, British Columbia. I met Dana approximately 6 years ago and have had the good fortune of working on two large and complex building projects with him.

In both cases Dana assisted in design of the buildings, was the key project manager and overall wood guru not only organizing and completing the post and beam joinery and assembly but also training and organizing a very inexperienced crew in the intricate joinery details and complex linear raw log assembly.
